The Green County Beef Producers Board announced that they have decided to cancel this year Best Burger Contest. The contest was part of Beef Month, which is celebrated in May.
In explaining the cancelation, they cited everything that is going on with COVID-19 and not all establishments being open to serve food. All Restaurants currently have their dining rooms closed due to the state’s Safer at Home Order, and some of the past participating restaurants have temporarily closed due to the restrictions.
In its place, the Green County Beef Producers Board is holding a Facebook contest to support local businesses. The contest involves liking their Facebook page, commenting about your favorite burger, and sharing their post. You can find the contest details on the Green County Beef Producers Facebook Page.
The contest starts May 15th and runs until June 15th. Winners will be posted on June 16th.
