Baumgartner’s Cheese Store & Tavern has announced it will be temporarily closing due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Monroe establishment posted a thank you and the announcement on the Baumgartner’s Cheese Store & Tavern Facebook Page today.
Here is the text of the Facebook Post in case you can’t view the above image:
Thank you so much to everyone that’s bought lunch from us these last two days! The amount of support we’ve received has been incredible! Sadly though, after two days of this experiment, we’ve decided to close indefinitely, and re-open as soon it is safe to do so. We truly appreciate the support, but have decided that we would rather not risk contributing to the further spread of this terrible disease. We hope that we can all come together to defeat this virus, and get back to life as soon as possible! From all of us at Baumgartner’s, we wish you all safety, sanity, and good health during this very scary and stressful time!

Baumgartner’s had been offering carry out and delivery during its limited lunchtime hours since Governor Evers closed restaurant dining rooms and bar seating areas.
