A rare few chocolate shops have my favorite dark chocolate covered orange peels. "While the oranges themselves aren’t... going to help decrease joint pain, the peel will. Orange peels contain a bioflavonoid called nobiletin that can lower inflammation and overall pain in joints such as the knees. The next time you peel an orange, leave some of the white peel residue on the fruit. Great little local coffee/candy shop on the ten square. Good selection of whole bean and ground coffees and teas. I... try hard to ignore the large display case of chocolate candies and other sweets (not to successfully)Hours can be erratic. This was my 3rd visit to this store. I ordered a large iced latte along with 3 other drinks, a dessert, and a couple... bags of coffee to take home. The coffee and drinks tasted good. The service the last two times has been rough though. Today my drink was packed to the top with ice and my large latte was more like a small. After a couple sips on the straw it was gone. I asked the cashier if it was normal to have this much ice packed in a large cup. She replied with I think so. I said ok, thats a lot of ice, next time I'll have to order it with little ice. As I turned my back and walked away my wife and my dad seen her roll her eyes at me. During the visit before today a different person leaned over the counter as my wife was supposed to enter a tip while paying with a credit card. My wife and I both thought she was trying to pressure my wife to tip or tip heavy by doing this. Evidently my wife didn't tip enough because the worker seemed to act annoyed after this.We stop at small and large coffee shops 4 or 5 times a week in the Midwest. We never get treated this way and we never get an iced coffee packed that full of ice. Its unfortunate the staff at this location is this immature and chooses to treat customers like this.read more

There are three things you need to know about Pancho and Lefty's Outlaw Grill before you go. #1 Cash only (the staff... even has this printed on their shirts), they do have an ATM inside for convenience.#2 Space is limited, they do have outdoor seating available but don't count on it, this is the Midwest and weather is subject to change. You may have to wait.#3 The food at Pancho and Lefty's is amazing.The atmosphere inside is fun and inviting. The staff are friendly and helpful. And the food is out of this world. We opened with fried pickles, which were crisp without being over-breaded, served with Sriracha sauce and a cucumber sauce. I had the Spicy Steak Burrito that had tender and juicy cuts of steak and just the right amount of heat. My wife had the saucy delight that was their Pulled Pork Sandwich. To top it off, we shared there Bread Pudding and that was a pure decadent chocolate out of body experience. If you're in Monroe, eat here!read more

I've been coming here my whole life. While my tastes have changed from over-loaded sundaes, to overly sweet lattes, to... drip coffee, Chocolate Temptation has been there for all of my cravings in my life. I no longer live in town, but I always make sure to stop in and check their selection of coffee beans. We love to try a new roast every time! And of course I have to try one of their confections when I stop in. I have fond memories of stopping here with my grandparents when I was a child and now I have fun surprising my boyfriend with different coffees from here. Chocolate Temptation is hands down my fav coffee/ice cream shop.read more

What can I say, I love chocolate; so when I saw this place I told my husband we were going there. I was not... disappointed. We were greeted warmly as soon as we entered. We read through the plethora of menu options and gazed at the fudge and bakery items behind the glass display. We felt comfortable to take our time and ended up ordering a latte, hot chocolate and a couple ice cream sundaes. Given the strange world of COVID-19, this cafe made us feel almost normal again.
